Waves
Music from the TooSmartGames worlds: soundtracks are written inside the studio and will come out as separate releases on streaming platforms. The first record — nine Container Life tracks — already plays in the game, and you can listen to it right here.
Container Life: nine tracks
Four songs with lyrics and five instrumentals, a single playlist for the whole game: songs first, instrumentals after. How the music is wired into the game — crossfades, pauses, streaming from disk — is covered in the development case study.

How it is made
Generation, picked by ear
Tracks are made in ElevenLabs Music: first probes in different languages — lo-fi, ambient, southern blues — then variations on the winner. The second batch was picked from twenty-eight drafts; six made the cut.
A record, not location themes
At first the scene chose the track, and it broke off in a crossfade at every arrival. Now there is one playlist for the whole game and it loops — a song is heard whole, down to the last verse.
Silence as a device
A track finishes and goes quiet for a minute and a half. In a long meditative session continuous music is the first thing to wear out — a pause gives it its weight back.
